17 November Concert by "The Goodchild Ensemble"
(trumpet, oboe, bassoon, organ)
at St. Scholastica's
Chapel, Convent of the Good Samaritan 2 Avenue Rd, Glebe
Point, 7pm. Tickets $10.
Tuesday 19 November ( Concurrent
events ) 1. A mini-tour of Glebe starting at St.
Scholastica's Chapel at 7pm. Prof. Graeme Rawson (organ).
Prof. Howard Pollard (organ). Dr. David Mcintosh (organ), Kirsti
Whitlooke (soprano) including works for two organs and an important
performance of a work by Joseph Musat. Then move St. John's
Church, Bishopthorpe, cnr. St John's Rd and Glebe Point Rd for a
short organ recital and "Stringendo" chamber music group playing
Schubert (8.30pm start at St. John's). Limited transport
will be available. Supper provided at 9.15pm.
Tickets $20. 2. A candle-lit dinner, fashion parade
and jewel show at Darling Mills Restaurant, 134 Glebe Point with
string quartet "Electra". 7.30pm. Tickets $50
Wednesday 20 November Concert by "The
Reluctant Consort" dir. Peter Petocz and the "Minisingers"
Hilary Rhodes and Graeme Stentiford (music of Mediaeval and
Renaissance periods) at Margaretta Cottage, 6 Leichhardt St,
Glebe Point, 8pm. Drinks at interval
and supper at conclusion. Tickets $4
Friday 22 November Soiree at St.
Andrew's College, Carillon Avenue,
University of Sydney. Annette Christensen (violin), David
Piper (piano), David Mcintosh (organ), 7.30pm Supper provided. Tickets
$20 (students $10)
Saturday 23 November-Gala Musical
Soiree at Margaretta Cottage, 6 Leichhardt Street, Glebe
Point Performance by the Early Music Association,
Natasha Rurniz (violin), Toni Powell (soprano) and
Kirsti Whitlocke (soprano). Christine Marrinan sings
jazz rhythm and blues 'til late, Owen Reynolds (piano.) Drinks
at interval and supper at conclusion. Black
